Easy Rajyoga

 Easy Rajyoga

Dr Sudhanshu Sekhar Mishra,  Patnagarh

Human life is precious, and its true success lies not merely in material prosperity but in the development of values and spiritual awareness. When a person forgets his real identity, he becomes a slave of circumstances, wandering aimlessly in the darkness of ignorance. Spiritual education, therefore, is essential to help man know himself, understand his relationship with God, and realize the true goal of life.

The foundation of this education begins with self-knowledge. Man is not merely a body; he is a soul—a conscious, eternal, and immortal being. The body is perishable, but the soul never dies. Forgetting this truth, man identifies with his body, caste, creed, and religion, which leads to conflict, division, and sorrow. Only when man realizes, “I am a soul, a child of the Supreme Soul,” can he experience peace, purity, and true happiness.

Religion and spirituality are often misunderstood. Religion is not merely rituals, dogmas, or outward show. True religion is the original nature of the soul—peace, purity, love, truth, and joy. Spirituality is the process of bringing these inner values into practical life. Today’s world is divided because of blind faith, superstition, and external practices. True unity can be achieved only through spiritual knowledge, which teaches that all souls are brothers, and God is our one Supreme Father.

It is now necessary to understand Yoga. Yoga means union or connection—the meeting of two entities or principles. In Rajyoga, this union takes place between the soul and the Supreme Soul. To forget the body, to realize oneself as a soul, and to remember the Supreme Soul is the essence of Yoga. Patanjali described Yoga as the restraint of the modifications of the mind, but its deeper meaning is the loving remembrance of the Supreme Father by the soul.

The soul is originally an ocean of divine qualities, and the Supreme Soul is the eternal ocean of those same qualities. A pure soul naturally connects with Him. But the question arises: How is this union achieved? Which method or path should be followed?

Today, many yoga teachers and gurus propagate different methods. Some claim Kundalini can be awakened by mere touch; some promise Samadhi through indulgence; some display miracles by producing ash or honey; others promote transcendental techniques. There is even competition among them in miracle shows. People, attracted by quick results and material comforts, get diverted from the true goal of life. These miracles may dazzle for a moment, just like a bright electric bulb that blinds the eyes and leaves darkness afterward. In the same way, such practices ultimately obstruct the real path of life and plunge mankind into ignorance.

Rajyoga, on the other hand, frees us from these illusions and directs us towards life’s true goal. The soul, burning in the fire of vices, needs the cooling touch of the nectar of the Supreme Soul. While many gurus speak of meditation, they do not provide the right foundation of knowledge about why and how to meditate. Since the soul is a conscious entity, it cannot remain satisfied until it receives this knowledge.

The soul longs to know: Who am I? What is my true nature? Where do I reside? Why am I here? Who is God, and where does He reside? What is my relationship with Him? What is Karma? What is the mystery of rebirth? How are the mind, intellect, and sanskars connected with Karma? How can divine virtues be imbibed, and how can vices be conquered? How can Rajyoga lead to Godly service and a divine life?

The answers to these questions form the foundation of spiritual consciousness. For a seeker of Rajyoga, it is essential to know, understand, and experience these truths. Unfortunately, neither scriptures nor religious leaders provide such answers, and so humanity remains divided into many sects and beliefs.

At such a time of spiritual crisis, when mankind cries out in despair, the Supreme Soul Himself descends into the body of Prajapita Brahma and reveals the knowledge of Rajyoga. Under His guidance, Prajapita Brahma, along with students of Rajyoga, established the Rajsuya Ashwamedha Rudra Gita Gyan Yagya for world transformation. This institution is formally known as the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. It carries the divine responsibility of spreading Godly knowledge and Rajyoga, directly bestowed by the Supreme Father, throughout the world.
